What is Ozone Therapy?
Ozone is a type of oxygen molecule. It’s a naturally occurring gas made up of three atoms of oxygen. Not only is this gas created during lightning strikes, it is created within the body in the natural processes of fighting pathogens and cancer. This oxidation agent can help initiate many healing processes. Ozone therapy involves using carefully dosed, externally generated ozone gas and applying it to the body. Properly administered, this will increase oxygen utilization, decrease inflammation, destroy germs, improve mitochondrial function, and more. This will ultimately promote proper immunomodulation.
Types of Ozone Therapies
Insufflation - Ozone gas is directly administered in the ears, nose, rectum, or vagina via a syringe, bag, or nasal cannula
Indications for insufflations:
Breathing ozonated olive oil - also known as BOO is where ozone is bubbled through olive oil and then inhaled via a nasal cannula. This is an effective way to directly treat the lungs for things such as RSV, covid, cough, infections, or inflammation.
Limb bagging or cupping - is a method used to treat the skin of specific areas on the body. It’s good for wounds, or infections.
Major Autohemotherapy- also known as MAH, is when some of your blood is pulled out via an IV, infused with ozone, and then returned right back to you.
Indications for MAH:
